The South African Social Security Agency (Sassa) is the government department responsible for issuing Sassa Srd cards and paying out social grants in South Africa. How To Put Bank Details On SASSA SRD
You can also update your bank details in Sassa Srd, as follows:
- Go to My Sassa account and log in with your username and password.
- Select the “Update Bank Details” option from the menu on the left-hand side of your page.
- Select the bank you wish to change from a dropdown menu or enter its name manually in the relevant field, then click on Next (if applicable).
- Enter your new account number and RIB number into their respective fields before confirming by clicking Submit Changes button on this page or Continue below box if necessary until you reach another one where you can enter information about what kind of transactions should be permitted by this new account number (this will depend on whether it is a primary or secondary account), so that they can track what happens with these funds over time; once done click Submit Changes button again when finished making necessary changes here too – otherwise just click Continue below box instead so that they don’t needlessly complicate matters unnecessarily!
Visit the local sassa office.
- Find out where your nearest SASSa office is.
- Make sure you have all the documents you need to submit.

Fill in a sassa form.
Fill in the bank statement details: Bank name, account number, type of account and the holder’s name.
Sign the document.
- Sign the document.
- Your signature must be in black ink and in the space provided on the document.
- Your name must be entered exactly as it appears on your identity document (ID), which can be a national ID, driver’s license or passport.
- The signature and name must appear in the same space as each other: do not place your signature below your name but next to it on a line that has been left blank by Sassa for this purpose only!
Submit to the officer at the counter.
After you have made all the necessary payments, hand over your form and payment slips to an officer in charge of Sassa Srd registration. The officer will stamp your form with a seal, receipts as proof that you have paid for your bank details (if applicable), and give back a new card with updated details.
The final step is to receive from the same person who issued it previously a new PIN number for your card and its card number so that it works again like before!
