The Department of Procedural Law and Criminology, within the Faculty of Law at Unisa, invites applications for admission to study for the postgraduate Diploma in Criminal Justice and Forensic Investigation.
The department’s research specialisms include law enforcement, white-collar crime, corporate social responsibility (including environmental governance), economic crime and corruption. The faculty is affiliated with numerous public sector agencies including the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA), Independent Police Investigative Directorate (IPID) and Financial Intelligence Centre South Africa (FICSA).

To apply for the Diploma in Criminal Justice and Forensic Investigation (98180), you must have completed a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of a second class upper division (2:1) or equivalent. You are also required to have at least five years of legal practice in the field of criminal justice and forensic investigation.
Faculty of Law
The Faculty of Law is based on the Unisa main campus. The faculty offers both undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in legal studies.
The Faculty of Law also offers an Honours programme in Legal Studies, which allows students to specialise in one or two areas of law such as Commercial Law, Corporate Law, Property Law, Criminal Justice and Forensic Investigation (CJFI), Environmental Law or International Business Transactions. Students may also choose to study a combination of these subjects.
