Mynsfas Account Track Application Progress

The MyNSFAS Student Self-Service Portal has been designed to help you manage your application and track its progress. The portal allows you to view your application number, verify documents and find out when your application was last updated. You can also see whether or not your supporting documents have been reviewed or approved by NSFAS.

Mynsfas Account Track Application Progress

To track your application progress, log on to the MyNSFAS Student Self-Service Portal and click on ‘Application Status’.

If you have submitted your application but haven’t received any reply from NSFAS or if you receive a rejection letter from NSFAS, you can check what went wrong by clicking on the appropriate link in ‘What to do if’.

If NSFAS confirms that your application has been successful and will be funded, congratulations! You can now proceed with registering at a university or college of choice.

You can check the status of your application in under five minutes by logging into the MyNSFAS Student Self-Service Portal and following these steps:

  • Log into your mynsfas student self-service portal.
  • Click on “Track Application” from the menu (top right corner)
  • Click on “My Applications Documents” from the list of options
  • Go to the MyNSFAS portal.
  • Click on “Track Application”.
  • You will see your application status. The status could be pending, approved or rejected.

You can also track your application by email and SMS when you have applied for funding through a university using the MyNSFAS Portal or via our New Application Form (NFF).

Your application status will be listed here as “Submitted”, “Under Review”, or “Rejected”.

If your application is rejected, you will receive a rejection email from [email protected] with reasons for your rejection within 72 hours of submitting your online application form. If you have been offered a bursary but do not want to accept it, or if there are circumstances that make it difficult for you to start on the date specified in the offer letter, please inform us as soon as possible (within 24 hours). The information provided in this email is confidential and cannot be shared with anyone else without your consent.

Closing

You will be notified by email if your application is successful or unsuccessful. Remember, you cannot cancel or edit your application once submitted online so make sure that all information is correct before submitting an application.
