The Funza Lushaka application process can be challenging, so it’s important that you are prepared. There are many steps that need to be completed before your application can be considered complete.
The following information will help you understand what documents you need to upload onto Funza Lushaka in order for us to process your application successfully.
How To Upload Documents On Funza Lushaka
Before uploading, you must certify following requirements:
You must be at least 18 years old to apply.
Your application can only be submitted by the person applying for admission.
You must provide certified copies of all Grade 12 results, the academic transcript and your ID document.
You must provide certified copies of all higher education results, the academic transcript and your ID document, if you are transferring from an institution outside Zambia.
You need to complete the following before you can submit your application
You need to complete the following before you can submit your application:
- Identity document (IDs) – a passport or national identity card. IDs must be valid and issued from an official government agency.
- Academic transcript – a certified copy of all Grade 12 results, and a certified copy of all higher education results, if applicable. These documents should show each individual year of schooling, including grades/marks obtained in each subject area (e.g., Mathematics), with English as one of the subjects listed on the transcript.
- Any other additional information that may be required by the specific institution or programme you are applying for (for example, proof of income).
- Certified copies of all Grade 12 results, the academic transcript and your ID document.
- Certified copies of all results for your previous education up to the level of NCE/OND (if applicable)
- A photocopy of your ID document, which must be certified by a Notary Public or Commissioner for Oaths
The applicant should attach a certified copy of all higher education results, the academic transcript and your ID document.
If you are applying for a bursary, for example, you may need to show proof of your income. If a specific course or programme requires proof of income, then the institution will tell you exactly what they require and how to provide them with this information.
For example, if you’re applying for an NSFAS loan at Wits University (which is where I studied), they’ll ask for proof of income in order to qualify; here’s what they said: “To be eligible for admission into Wits University as a part-time student and qualify for financial assistance through [NSFAS]…”
You will also need a valid email address as this is how you will be notified of your application’s progress. Once the document has been uploaded, you should receive an email confirmation, and then another when it has been processed by the system. If there is any issue with the document submitted on your application (such as missing information), then you will be notified via email that your application has been rejected or delayed until such time as the issues have been resolved.
Before you upload your documents, please ensure that each one is in the correct format (PDF or JPG), not larger than 2MB in size and that it is legible. If any documents are submitted in a different format (for example, DOC or XLS), they will be returned to you.
Make sure that your documents are not too small or too large: if they are smaller than a postage stamp in size, we may not be able to read them. Similarly, when scanned images are too large for the scanner to process, we may reject them as well!
