The Mangosuthu University of Technology is a public university in South Africa. It is located in the coastal city of Durban in KwaZulu-Natal; the second largest city in South Africa by population. The university has five campuses and offers courses at diploma, undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

MUT has more than 34 000 students on campus as well as 4 000 off-campus students enrolled via distance education programmes (DEMS).
