1. Postgraduate certificate
A Postgraduate Certificate is a qualification below a postgraduate diploma and above a postgraduate diploma.
It is a postgraduate qualification that is at the same level as a master’s degree.
2. Postgraduate diploma
Postgraduate diploma is a qualification that is higher than a bachelor’s degree and lower than a master’s degree.
The NQF level of postgraduate diplomas are based on the number of credits they require to be awarded. The following table indicates the NQF levels and credit requirements:

3. Master’s degree
- Master’s degree: Registered at level 6

4. Doctoral degree (PhD)
The doctoral degree (PhD) is an academic degree awarded by universities in many countries. PhDs are awarded for programs across the full spectrum of academic fields, although PhDs in medicine, natural sciences, and engineering tend to be the most frequent.
The completion of a doctoral degree often takes many years of study and a dissertation. Doctoral degrees are usually granted for a wide range of programs in the sciences; social sciences; humanities; and creative arts (e.g., music).
