Nsfas Awaiting Supporting Documents

The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) is a programme that provides financial assistance for post-school studies to students from households with lower income.

The NSFAS Portal allows you to apply for funding for your studies and pay your fees, as well as track the status of your application.

You can also use this portal to request a manual application form or view financial aid policy documents.

You can apply via the NSFAS website or by contacting their call centre at 0800 2999 987 (0800 NSSFAS). To learn more about applying online, visit their FAQ section on How do I apply? If you’re unable to apply online because of technical problems or other difficulties using their site, you may submit a manual application form instead.

List of documents that the student must submit with their application:

  • An acknowledgement letter from the institution that confirms that the student has been accepted and enrolled.
  • The proof of payment for registration fees (if applicable).

Track Application

The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) portal allows you to track your application status. To do this, log in to the portal and select “Track Application”. This will show you the progress of your application, including which supporting documents have been received.

You can also check if all requirements for funding have been completed by selecting “List Requirements” from the options at the top of your page when logged into NSFAS Online Services.

Application Forms

NSFAS application forms can be downloaded from the NSFAS website at www.nsfas.ac.za or you can apply online at www.nsfas.ac.za/applyonline.

Once your application has been submitted, you will receive an acknowledgement receipt via e-mail within 24 hours to confirm that we’ve received it and that it is being processed by a member of our team of experts.

Please note that if you have registered for financial aid and have not yet applied for funding through NSFAS, please do so as soon as possible after registering on the University website, otherwise there may be delays in processing your funding application due to registration related issues such as incomplete applications when they are submitted in person or incorrect information being provided at any point during this process (for example if you change your surname or add new dependants).

Manual Applications

You can apply for a manual application if you have all the required documents. You will be able to submit your documents and submit them at any time. When you are accepted, you will receive the notification by email.

Financial Aid Counselling

You might have received an e-mail from NSFAS about the required supporting documents for your application. This can be frustrating, but don’t worry! If you haven’t lost hope, contact your nearest NSFAS office as soon as possible and they will help you find what is missing.

It’s important to note that financial aid counselling is available at all NSFAS offices and is free of charge. You can go to a counsellor in person or over the phone; it doesn’t matter how old you are or where you study: they will be able to assist you with any questions that come up during the process of applying for financial aid through NSFAS.

Their counsellors are trained in different areas including English language proficiency, mathematics skills, assessment tests (for example matric) and so on; we also provide counselling for those who need assistance completing their application forms themselves this includes helping them fill out the form correctly so that no mistakes are made when submitting it online later on!

NSFAS Documents

The NSFAS Application form is a document used by students who apply for funding in the National Student Financial Aid Scheme. The application form is also referred to as the NSFAS Track application, and it must be completed by all South African citizens who want to apply for financial aid.

Students who are applying for their first year of study must complete this form with their school guidance counsellor before they can submit it online at nsfa.org.za.

The manual applications are documents that are used when submitting an NSFAS Manual Application Form at schools where no internet access is available.

There are five types of financial aid available under the Track system: bursaries; loans; allowances; book allowances and disability grants. The different types of assistance offered depend on your needs and circumstances as well as your family income level (as indicated on pages 11-12).

Your chosen university will determine which type fits best into its criteria before deciding whether or not you qualify for funding from them directly via track application forms . You will also find information about how much money each type covers per month on page 12 under “All About Financial Aid” section!

If you are currently in your second or final year of study, you will be required to submit an application for NSFAS. If you’ve already applied and been approved, but haven’t completed all of the requirements for funding for your current semester, we encourage you to do so as soon as possible. In most cases, this means providing them with proof that:

  • You have made arrangements with a university/college that is registered with NSFAS
  • You’re registered for courses at your institution (this may mean enrolling for one or more courses)
  • Your institution has accepted the funds from NSFAS and will pay them into your bank account
