Durban University Of Technology Online Application
To apply to study at the Durban University of Technology (DUT), you need to create an online application account and complete a course admission form. The application process is easy.
You can start by finding your programme and clicking the ‘Apply’ button. From there, you’ll be guided through all the steps in completing your application. Applicants who have not yet completed their matriculation will be required to produce copies of their certificates with their applications as proof of academic qualification for admission purposes.

Log in to the DUT website with your email address and password
Click on ‘Apply’
Enter your details on all fields: first name, last name, username for future logins, current course of study, etcetera
Click on Register as a new user.
Type in your username. (For example, “joe”).
Type in your password. (For example, “123456”).
Type in your email address. (For example, “joe@example.com”).
Click on Register.
The following are some of the things to consider when searching for a programme:
- Your qualification. Do you have the right academic, work and other qualifications?
- The programme’s intake date. Is it suitable for you?
- The programme’s fees and financial aid possibilities, including scholarship information.
- What careers can be followed after completing this course? If a career path interests you, then it is worth considering taking further study in that field.

DUT ONLINE APPLICATION
Online application is the easiest and fastest way for you to apply. The DUT online application process takes a few minutes at most, and there are no forms to print out or send in. You can apply anytime, anywhere with your laptop or mobile device.
Online applications are secure – all personal information submitted via this website is encrypted (a process known as SSL) by the highest standard encryption technology available so that it cannot be viewed by any third parties while being transferred over the Internet.
Our online application form also allows users to make changes directly on their own profiles without requiring assistance from our staff members who can then assist those users using email communication only.
This means that once an applicant has started filling in their details on the DUT Online Application Page, either on their own computer or device or another computer/device (e.g., library) if applicable; once an applicant has sent these details back via e-mail then they will receive correspondence from them confirming receipt of their application within 24 hours during normal working hours Monday through Friday excluding public holidays in South Africa (excluding weekends).
