The Department of Health Internship Programme is an opportunity for unemployed youth who have completed their qualification within 3 years, as at 2020/21 financial year, to gain exposure to the work environment of the Western Cape Provincial Government.
Candidates must be South African citizens and not receiving any bursary, stipend or allowance in respect of studies already undertaken.
You are unemployed youth who have completed their qualification within 3 years, as at 2020/21 financial year.
You have been unemployed for a minimum of six months, and will be able to provide proof of unemployment.
Your qualification is within the Health Professions Listing (HPL) or the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) at levels 7-9 and equivalent qualifications; or equivalent academic qualifications from another country that are recognised by the National Qualification Authority of South Africa (NQASA).
You must be enrolled as a full-time student at a tertiary institution (University or College).
Your internship should last no more than 6 months.
Applicants must not be employed or engaged by any public or private entity or non-governmental organisation on a permanent or fixed term contract basis. The applicant must not receive any bursary, stipend or allowance in respect of studies already undertaken at the time of application.
