Are TVET Colleges Open For 2022 Applications?

TVET colleges are open for 2022 applications and will be accepting applications even during the school holidays. TVET colleges are open to all learners, not just those in the country.

The TVET colleges application and registration process must be completed before you can start attending classes. This involves:

  • Application
  • Registration
  • Payment of fees

Applications are open from August 1 to September 30, 2022. The registration deadline is October 20, 2022. You also need to pay your fees at this time so make sure you have the money ready! After that point, no applications will be accepted and no late payments will be accepted either!

You can only register if your application has been approved by the college of your choice.

If your application has not been approved, it will not be possible for you to register.

You must have all the required documents when registering.

All TVET college applicants are required to pay an application fee, which varies depending on the college you want to apply to. Your application fee is set by the college you are applying to and cannot be changed or transferred if you decided not to attend that particular institution.

A matric certificate or National Senior Certificate (NSC) is required if you are applying for a certificate or diploma course at an Advanced Education and Training (AET) College. If you have completed your matric or NSC and want to study further, you will need to apply for tertiary education by using your school results as proof of completion. You can also apply with other qualifications such as diplomas and certificates from other institutions like vocational training providers, colleges and universities that are recognised by Umalusi [the South African Council for Quality Assurance in General Education and Training].

In case you have completed only one year of study at a secondary school or less than two years of work experience then you may qualify for an exemption from some courses but this does vary from one institution to another so it is advisable that once you’re accepted into university that someone guides through their application process
